Finnish mezzosoprano Hannakaisa Nyrönen is experiencing being on a strong path towards international recognition and expectations. She was awarded 1st prize at the 2019 Elizabeth Connell Prize Singing Competition for aspiring dramatic voices. Ms. Nyrönen made her Finnish National Opera debut in 2020 singing Fiordiligi under the direction of Esa-Pekka Salonen.

In 2023-24 Hannakaisa sang her debut both as Isolde in Tristan und Isolde and Venus in Tannhäuser at Eurajoki Festival. The season was opened with Latvian National Symphony Orchestra (LNSO) Hannakaisa starring as Sieglinde in Wagner's Die Walküre.

During 2021-22 Hannakaisa appeared as Freia in Das Rheingold and sang the role role of Brünnhilde in Die Walküre and Siegfried at Eurajoki Bel Canto Festival. In 2018 The Finnish Wagner Society awarded her a scholarship to the Bayreuth Festival.

Hannakaisa is a graduate of Sibelius Academy both in Opera Singing (2017) and Church Music (2011). Hannakaisa holds the position as artistic director of the organization Rajoilla Ensemble and is active both chamber music and opera.

Hannakaisa has appeared as Sieglinde in the Bayreuth RING for Kids at Helsinki Festival and has sung the title role in Countess Mariza, Hanna in The Merry Widow and Judith in The Bluebeard's Castle. Other roles include Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, Juno in The Tempest by Jean Sibelius and Kullervo's Sister in Sibelius's symphonic poem Kullervo.
